To comply with the NIH Public Access Policy, CDE/CDHA researchers must:
- Include a cover letter to the Publisher when submitting a manuscript arising from NIH funds to a peer-reviewed journal. Sample Cover Letter
- Attach a signed copy of the Additional Term document when returning the publisher's copyright transfer agreement.
Additional Term for manuscripts with more than one author.
- Submit the final peer-reviewed manuscript to PubMed Central upon acceptance by the publisher. CDE Library staff will submit manuscripts for CDE and CDHA researchers. See Manuscript Submission Service for CDE and CDHA Researchers for instructions.
- Add the NIH Manuscript ID # or the PMC ID # when citing these articles in progress reports, renewals, and new applications.
